Jamie Cullum | Momentum | European Tour Poster
This is my pitch for Jamie’s tour poster. Really proud of the outcome.
I was asked to focus on the meaning of the word, Momentum & to link it to what Jamie’s music is about. My idea was that when you’re playing or writing music you have a momentum of ideas, emotions and memories linked to those songs & I liked the idea of them all crashing around him.
Trapped in the lab, working hard in harsh conditions.
I’ve been penciling 3 of the 5 A2 illustrations. It’s giving me a chance not to force the other two drawings and allows them to come to my mind naturally. But so far, the 3 I’ve constructed are looking at the grim reality of the Mr. Rabbit story, where we look at the main character, Rocco and his reasons for escaping into this fantasy world which I illustrated in the larger drawings.
Working on some smaller sketches as & when I feel like it.
I really like drawing this couple. I guess I see myself in them.

Completed the last large drawing today. This isn’t the end as I’ll be starting some smaller pieces to continue with this story over next week.
